On a 300 nautical mile sail north, trawling for a simple fish for dinner turns into MAN vs MONSTER!!!
In this episode, we depart the city of Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia on a 300 nautical mile journey to the island of Nias. Trawling through the Telos islands trying to catch dinner, we end up hooking more than we bargained for! What do you do with a fish this big! Smooth sailing and a terrific passage to our destination, Bonita is busy in the kitchen when the gas runs out. With a public holiday in the islands, trying to get gas turns out to be impossible! With no way of cooking dinner, we need to get creative and go cook up a feast on the fire!
In this episode, we head to the beach and have a good ole fire cook up of the Dog tooth tuna Yosh speared the week earlier!
HOW DO WE HAVE THIS PLACE ALL TO OURSELVES!!! This has to be closest to the best place we have ever been.
In this episode, we are anchored in an extremely remote atoll in Indonesia. We have been trying to reach this place for years and with a few perfect days of weather, we have been maximising our time here. Spearfishing to catch food and swimming in the most clearest blue water. We have been out here for a few days now and loving living life off grid and secluded away from the rest of the world. Being so remote, we have to always be cautious as the weather can change at any minute. Sunshine and clear skies one minute, 30 knots and stormy the next. Dealing with massive frontal systems is why people stay away from this location, not us... Here we are in the middle of it!
