Words from Dometic about their product...
"This smart refrigerator has a stainless steel effect front, offers 78 l of cool storage and an optional 7.5 l of freezer space. It’s also superbly efficient and generates minimal noise."

Dometic
Coolmatic CRX 80 Upright Fridge

Installing this unit was close to one of the happiest days of our lives! We had been living on Nandji for over 9 months without a fridge! That is a long time to get used to drinking warm beer! Not having a fridge meant we had to always plan what we were going to eat, continually fishing and think of alternative ways of storing fruit and vegetables to last longer.
Since installing this unit our lives have changed for the better. It is amazing how the simple small things in life can bring so much pleasure. Having cold water in the fridge is heaven sent as we live in the tropics where every day is guarnteed to be sweaty!
The 80 litre unit has ample space for our vegetables, milk and water in the door and we can provision to last for weeks using this unit. It has a small 15 litre freezer which I have discovered can fit the fillets of one 10kg Spanish Mackerel, 2 Coral trout and some Wahoo. The rest of the Wahoo went in the fridge, because we can!
The installation was simple enough, I was rebuilding the cabinet area where it is situated, therefore I built a structure for the fridge to be mounted on and built around the unit. The fridge is secured by 4 screws though the inside out and these holes are covered to prevent losing any cool. The door lock is great and holds well even though we load the door up with liquids. It has never come loose whilst under sail!
Please don't hesitate to contact us. We are always
keen on feedback and other human insights.
