In this episode, finally it is time to head out for a shakedown sail. Nandji spent a long 7 months on the hardstand. We have completed some major repairs, done some massive upgrades, had a baby and now have a beautiful boat we can call home. Nandji has been floating for a couple of weeks and we have managed to organise everything and move back on board. The next step is to see if Nandji works. Let's go sailing and test it all out!!
After living in some nice apartments and some real shady ones, finally Nandji is ready for us to move back on board. Our floating home has seen some major renovations these past months and to move back on board and be preparing for the future journeys ahead, is a very special time. Countless hours has been invested into making Nandji a safe and beautiful home for our years of sailing to come. After completing the final installation of the new depth sounder, the jobs are complete. It is now time to get all our shit on board and prepare for the adventures ahead!
In this episode, Nandji is floating and we are finalising all the little jobs to move back on board. Nandji is close to a new house and she is in the best shape she has ever been. I thought it important to try and complete all the jobs before moving back on board to try and minimise the mess and the need for digging out tools again. Nandji has limited space so when the tolls are packed away, they are packed away for good!! Of course Nandji has a few little surprises she throws at us, and then there is Bonita's life of living on the land needs to downsize a wee bit!! How many bikinis does a girl need???? With Nandji being a wooden boat, she tends to move and change shape whilst on the hard. Now floating, I wanted to check the alignment. This is a task best done without the missus!
