HOW DO WE HAVE THIS PLACE ALL TO OURSELVES!!! This has to be closest to the best place we have ever been.
In this episode, we are anchored in an extremely remote atoll in Indonesia. We have been trying to reach this place for years and with a few perfect days of weather, we have been maximising our time here. Spearfishing to catch food and swimming in the most clearest blue water. We have been out here for a few days now and loving living life off grid and secluded away from the rest of the world. Being so remote, we have to always be cautious as the weather can change at any minute. Sunshine and clear skies one minute, 30 knots and stormy the next. Dealing with massive frontal systems is why people stay away from this location, not us... Here we are in the middle of it!
In this episode, we travel to South Australia, this is where we both grew up and more importantly, where Marley has been waiting for us to return! After collecting our little fur baby in Adelaide, we then drive back to the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. This is the coast where Yosh grew up until he moved to the city of Adelaide for work. Whilst home, we take out the family tinny and go fishing! 2 adults, 1 baby and a dog hunting for King George whiting. With a feed caught, we clean and cook up a feast for the family!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we depart the Turtle islands and head north up the west coast of Sumatra on our way back to Thailand. Our destination is the island of Sabang, the north western most point of Indonesia where we plan to clear out of the country. The trip up the coast had some bad wet weather to start but this only lead into some of the funniest smoothest and fastest sailing we have had for a while! Champagne sailing ladies & gentlemen. Nandji was gliding along at great speeds, fast enough to have the fishing line scream and we catch the BIGGEST Wahoo we have ever caught! It was that big the local fishing boats came from everywhere!
