In this episode, we explore the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia in a Rooftop tent. During our time in Australia we have been exploring many different ways of alternative living. So far we have slept in a shed, a caravan, drove around in a converted van and now we have switched it all up for a four wheel drive and a rooftop tent! Not sure this is an upgrade though...
Aren't these guys the most playful animals! The puppy dogs of the Sea!
In this episode, we head to some offshore islands near my home town on the Eyre Peninsula to tick off one of those bucket list items, swimming with Sea Lions! These playful creatures are an endangered species with only around 7000 left in the wild. To swim with these beautiful animals in our own back yard was an amazing experience. Our time home in Australia is coming close to an end, whilst it has been great to be home and finally see friends and family, we miss our boat. Nandji is calling us back and can not wait to get back on her in the coming weeks!
In this episode, we travel to South Australia, this is where we both grew up and more importantly, where Marley has been waiting for us to return! After collecting our little fur baby in Adelaide, we then drive back to the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. This is the coast where Yosh grew up until he moved to the city of Adelaide for work. Whilst home, we take out the family tinny and go fishing! 2 adults, 1 baby and a dog hunting for King George whiting. With a feed caught, we clean and cook up a feast for the family!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we leave our humble Nandji home in the safe hands of the marina in Krabi, Thailand and head home to Australia for Christmas. This was a very exciting trip for us as Yosh had not been back to Australia since sailing out of the Gold Coast seaway back in July 2017 and Bonita only returning once over a year ago for health reasons. To be heading home for Christmas and seeing friends and family was truly an awesome experience for us. We road trip across Australia, from land to sea and visit Yosh's family around the state of South Australia. We visit the remote Kangaroo island and then drive 900km across the state to visit Yosh's little bro and spend Christmas at his mums place. Yosh gets busy with some sheep work, helping out his little brother, we go fishing out in the boat and check out all the animals on Kangaroo island!
