In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we are on the move again! After a solid 6 long months of being around the island of Langkawi, we are free to mve inter province around Malaysia. We are in search of a better healthcare for our new baby and learnt that the city of Penang was the place to be. With a 70 nautical mile sail to reach the island city, we set off to sea once again, sailing towards that endless horizon. Langkawi has been a safe harbour for us during these crazy times but it is one amazing feeling to see it disappear in our wake. Onwards to the next chapter!

In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we are living out the old saying which is so very true! There is always something to fix on a boat! Ever since we painted our topsides last year, Yosh is like an old man with his front lawn and when something happens to his paint... LOOK OUT! The nesting has officially begun and whilst Bonita is cleaning and cleansing the boat ready for the new baby, more problems are found. At least we can now travel inter province around Malaysia so we head to Harbour master and clear out of Langkawi. Our long 6 months on the island has come to an end and it is time to move on to greener pastures! Does the boat work ever end? there is always something to fix on a boat!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, it is a live update of what has been happening in our lives. We are expecting a new little froth baby very soon and this means we have some difficult decisions to make. Being pregnant overseas is difficult enough and then throw a pandemic in the mix and you have a recipe for hurdles and road blocks. We have tried our best to prepare for the future in as many ways as we can and we feel that we have made the right decision for us and our new baby. What are we going to do and where are we going to have our new baby? Watch and find out!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, since our old life raft actually inflated, we thought it a good idea to get in side with only a few items and then drift in the open water to see what it is really like to try and survive lost at sea in a life raft. It turns out things do not go to plan and after our little exercise it is safe to say we have come to the conclusion that we never want to get in a life raft again!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we learn about our old life raft. We recently had a new upgrade to Nandji where we install a new life raft mounted in a cradle for ease and efficiency in the rare case we need to use it at sea. This means we have our old unserviced life raft that we try to see if it works! We have always referred to the old life raft as the DEATH RAFT, as it had never been serviced since we have had it and it was out service when we bought Nandji. We changed our plans last year as we could not get this new life raft to Nandji, but now it is installed and ready to use, lets play with the old and learn all about what you need in an emergency situation and show you our drill.
