In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we depart the Turtle islands and head north up the west coast of Sumatra on our way back to Thailand. Our destination is the island of Sabang, the north western most point of Indonesia where we plan to clear out of the country. The trip up the coast had some bad wet weather to start but this only lead into some of the funniest smoothest and fastest sailing we have had for a while! Champagne sailing ladies & gentlemen. Nandji was gliding along at great speeds, fast enough to have the fishing line scream and we catch the BIGGEST Wahoo we have ever caught! It was that big the local fishing boats came from everywhere!

In this episode of Sailing Nandji, after both Yosh and Bonita go separate ways to complete some solo challenges, they are reunited and back together again on Nandji. With Yosh's birthday around the corner he is determined to head south and surf a new wave he has dreamt about for years. With a massive ground swell forecast for the day, they bash their way south into the relentless strong trade winds and choppy seas... Don't fight the Weather... Just another day of boat life!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we spend the last few days with our friends from home onboard. Whilst the lads are out surfing, the girls are tired of standing behind the cameras and make their own fun, living the hammock life! Bonita and Tash are taken to the playful wave of Bengs Bengs to try and get a few amongst the masses. We then have a minor problem where the captain did not prepare the boat properly before leaving... What a good excuse to have a beach bomb fire and cook in the coals with our last night with friends on board before over night sail back to Padang to drop Tash and Teebs off to the airport.
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we give some information about our pet dog MARLEY the Sailing Whippet. We have been sailing offshore for 2 years now and have lived on our boat for 3 with our dog. We are often asked many questions about Marley and hopefully this answers the difficult ones like, Where does he wee and poo? Doesn't that dog need lots of exercise? Why is he so skinny? We take you through a bit of day in the life of Marley and what we do to keep him happy and safe whilst we are sailing. It is a big decision to sail offshore and visit other countries with your dog or pet and we plan to break down the information and inform you more about our choices and why we brought Marley along for the ride!
