So as you may know we are currently in the process of selling our beloved bus Froth. The bus changed our lives for the better, enhancing our love for adventure and happiness amongst nature. We spent most of our time diving, spear fishing, surfing and admiring all thing underwater on our journey and couldn't get the thought out of our heads of how cool it would be to live on at yacht. With a bit of encouragement of likeminded friends, we have purchased a beautiful Roberts 40ft Sloop located in the Whitsunday's. We are now counting down the days until we head to the vessel and move aboard! The past few weeks we have been busy packing and preparing along with a lot of internet shopping of necessary and some not so necessary items. One of the concerning things for me is that all of out grey water is going to run straight into the ocean where our fishy friends live so 've really been focusing on finding next level natural alternatives to household products. A friend told me about soap nuts which are natural soaping nuts which can be used to wash your clothes!! They are incredibly cheap and 100% natural and they actually clean your clothes its amazing!! As a cleaning product for floors, windows, bathroom Exerything.. ill be using vinegar. yeah thats right plain old vinegar that you put on your hot chips.. when we lived in Exmouth i did a bit of cleaning for a fancy hotel and they used it to clean ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! If its good enough for them, its good enough for me! It works better than ajax, spray and wipe.. all of those bad boys without the bad nasty stuff! Ive changed my shampoo, conditioner, soaps, face wash, deodorant and moisturiser to a more natural product and look forward to eventually making my own products further down the track. If you have any fish friendly alternatives, let us know :) Marleys not missing out, his ezy dog life jacket rocked up in the post today. Check him out he's all ready for some island hopping salty adventures! We have purchased a new Tender to fang around in as the old one was buckled from the sun. We bought it second hand on Gumtree and will be picking it up in Brisbane on the way through. Its a 2.6m RIB inflatable Riviera with an alloy hull. Hopefully our little Suzuki 6 outboard gets the bad boy up on a plane! We havn't named it yet but I'm sure it will get a name.. the captain names everything. Captain bought himself a spray jacket.. after telling me over and over again i couldn't get one. Im banning him from wearing it at night because theres no way I'm gonna see him bobbing around in his beautiful black jacket. We bought other few little nick nacks like a first aid kit, cards against humanity, new socket set ..ohh yeah .. and lots and lots of bikinis .. all on sale of course, a girl can never have enough bikinis … :) With a bit of luck the bus sells this week and we are out of here! Fingers crossed until then. First Mate Bon signing off xx

So its nearly time to make the move from Ole Radelaide town up to Nandji!
It couldn't come quick enough though I tell you. After wallowing way down here and getting prepared for what seems like forever, the journey up there couldn't come sooner. We have a had a few family and friend functions that we have been hanging around for, but the last one was on the weekend! So now we really have to sort our lives out as it is time to get out of here. Ive been doing the little frustrating jobs like fixing cameras and ipads. Laptops and surfboards. It seems that most things we owned have been broken along our journey in froth (our bus that is still for sale...) So fixing and repairing and buying new stuff has been keeping me busy! However everything that needs to be in storage is now there. Yay! We sold our tinny that was our pride and joy when we were travelling in froth. It was a sad day to see her go but I guess owning three boats might be a little excessive... But now I can buy more fun activities like a new surfboards and a hookah! A hookah is another form of diving for those of you with dirty minds. It allows you to stay under water without the restrictions of a tank like scuba. Therefore without a tank you can have longer dive times! A pretty sick idea I reckon!! So the next instalment will be us on the road!! Shit that's exciting!! |
