In this episode, after inspecting the water tank and placing a few patches over potentially leaking spots, the bilge is painted and the water tank is placed back down with full confidence there are no more hidden issues. Moving forward to rebuild the structure that supports the water tank and then paint the entire area to remove any smell and give the tank a fresh new look ready to be covered up and hidden.

In this episode, we dive head first into the refit of our new vessel. The more we dig, the more we find and the more things that need to be fixed! With the new boat froth, nothing is overly phasing us at this point even though we nearly had 3 heart attacks on the second day of boat work! With extensive water damage into the aft cabin, we rip out rotted wood and lift up the massive 1100 litre water tank to see what problems we can uncover...
In this episode, it is time to get down and dirty! Buying a new boat does not mean everything works and in our case, there is A LOT to be fixed. As part of the sales clause, the vessel needs to be sea worthy for sea trial, as this was not the case, the seller has to fix what is broken. In this case, the steering had seized and the rudder won't turn. Answer, pull it all apart!!! Let the Refit begin!!
In this episode, the BIG 300th episode!! WOW!! It only seems fitting that after exactly 7 years on Nandji, she is sold and we buy a NEW BOAT! First arriving to Thailand we received a 45 day tourist visa, in this time we set ourselves the impossible task of selling Nandji and purchasing a new vessel. Somehow we have managed to pull this off and we are offcially new boat owners! What boat did we buy???
In this episode, we go and check out a Tayana 47 Sailboat. We first went to inspect this vessel in the pure love for the craft and the wishful thinking of maybe one day we could own a boat like this. Nandji then sold and we knew our budget, so we decided to continue the investigation into this boat returning multiple times to test out all the equipment onboard. As the ad states, the vessel is in need of some work, yet the photos look amazing... Let's figure this out and decide wheather it could be a potential purchase for us.
In this episode, WHAT HAVE WE DONE! We decided once we returned to Thailand that we would sell Nandji and look for a bigger boat that is more suited for us and our family. Now Tallula is getting older and we hope to grow our family, the time has come to think about a new home that can fit us all comfortable! There is one thing about talking about selling your boat, but when it comes time to show her off and people come to check her out, the reality sets in and it is tough to decide if this is what we really want!!
In this episode, we leave Malaysia and sail 300 nautical miles back to Thailand. As we are trying to sell Nandji, we think there is more opportunity to sell her in Thailand. With already 2 people reaching out wishing to view Nandji, we head back north up the Malacca Strait a little lighter, a little better and little faster! We had some amazing sailing conditions where Nandji relished in the moment, if this is our last sail on her, it was damn good fun!!!!
In this episode, we notice that the sunbrella on the headsail had been coming loose. With the biggest sail loft in the world just down the road, we take off the head sail for some simple repairs. Putting it straight to work, we set sail 300 nautical miles to the boat yard where we haul out Nandji for a world record hardstand. After sitting in the water for a year and a half, Nandji's butt resembled a reef system. If she sell's tomorrow or in three months time, the bottom needs to be done! As we are actively boat shopping, we spied an Amel Mango on the market in the marina. Even though the broker was on the other side of the country, we manage to get the keys and have an inspection for ourselves. A beautiful boat and a sailboat that could be our next vessel!!
